Before we have Athlon X2, right now we have a new breed…
The new AMD Phenom X3 and AMD Phenom X4. X3 represent the triple core and X4 for the quad core version. We’ve got the lineup below:
Seem its a new strategy from AMD to compete the Dual Core from Intel. Nevertheless, in the real benchmark, any X2 or dual core is sufficient for the time being. Most programs and applications aren’t really optimized beyond two cores. AMD X3 is competitive compared to Intel Dual Core though its clearly not recommended.
